Game Day (12): Islanders at Senators, 7:30pm

The Least You Should Know About the Senators…  Ottawa is healthy as a team but has lost four of their last five games… Both the Islanders and Senators allow 3.08 goals per game, near the bottom of the league… Jason Spezza and Bobby Ryan (new acquisition this year) have a combined 13 of the team’s 35 goals…

For Ottawa, backup Robin Lehrner will get the start, so the Islanders won’t have to deal with Craig Anderson who game them fits last year. It’ll be Lehrner’s third start of the year and he allowed seven goals in the first two but stopped a lot of shots, as he has a .940 SVP.

The Islanders will ice the same lineup as Tuesday night. No apparently progress for Brian Strait or Lubomir Visnovsky. Evgeni Nabokov will be between the pipes, so that means Kevin Poulin will likely start tomorrow at the Coliseum.

Projected Lineup:
Vanek-Tavares-Okposo MacDonald-Hamonic Nabokov
Bouchard-Nielsen-Bailey Hickey-Martinek Poulin
Grabner-Regin-Clutterbuck/Nelson Carkner-Donovan
Martin-Cizikas-Nelson/Clutterbuck
Scratches: Boulton, McDonald, Strait       IR: Visnovsky

Maybe they could try and win this one. Too bad no one showed up to play the Rangers the other night.

Great to see Carkner and Donovan together again. It's not like they have been dreadful or anything.
