The Least You Should Know About the Predators…  2-2 in their last four games, but outscored 10-0 in the last two… Pekka Rinne is out indefinitely with a hip infection… Mike Fisher is day-to-day with a lower body injury… 25th in the NHL in goals per game…

The Islanders face another struggling team tonight as the Predators come in after getting blown out 5-0 in each of their last two games.  Carter Hutton, who we previewed as Nashville’s starter this morning, will actually not be in net for the Preds. They’ll try their luck with recent AHL call up and third stringer Marek Mazanec in between the pipes. Mazanec had a .933 SVP in five AHL games earlier this season and has only played 52 minutes in relief this year in the NHL.

In the Islanders net, Kevin Poulin will start back-to-back games for the first time this season. It’s a good opportunity for the young goaltender to earn more playing time. The Islanders could certainly use a good start out of him as well. Lineup appears to be similar to Sunday.

Projected Lineup:
Nelson-Tavares-Okposo MacDonald-Hamonic Poulin
Grabner-Nielsen-Bailey Hickey-Donovan Nabokov
Bouchard-Regin-McDonald Ness-Carkner
Clutterbuck-Cizikas-Martin
Scratches: Vanek , Boulton, Martinek        IR: Visnovsky, Strait
