The Least You Should Know About the Kings… LA will be without starting goaltender Jon Quick who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Ben Scrivens will get the start in net… The Kings are also missing Matt Greene, Jarret Stoll and Jeff Carter… Anze Kopitar and Mike Richards both have 17 points in 18 games thus far… 12 different Kings have at least two goals… This is the 2nd of a four game roadie for LA, they are 0-0-1 thus far with an extra session loss in Buffalo on Tuesday…

Ben Scrivens will make only his third start of the season tonight for the Kings, as 2012 Conn Smythe winner Jon Quick is day-to-day with an injury. Scrivens has a .943 SVP in two starts this year and has a .924 mark overall, which includes three relief appearances.

For the Islanders, Kevin Poulin will make his third straight start. Thomas Vanek, however, will miss his third straight game as he is still out with an upper body (hand?) injury he sustained on Sunday in Montreal. Vanek did skate with the team this morning, so it seems possible that he will be ready to go on Saturday. John Tavares will play tonight and keep his iron man streak alive, making tonight his 227th straight game in an Islander uniform. The lineup is likely the same as Tuesday.
