IPB PSA: Fixing Issues With the New Design
Since it’s a slow news day, I figured it’s as good a time as any to take a quick look at the changes and new features we’ve had here on the blog. A few of you have reached out to me with some issues where the site wasn’t working for you and we’re working to try and make the blog better and more functional for you. As with anything there are kinks to work out but on the whole I think the change over went fairly well. Here are a couple things you’ve told us about that we’re working on:
- Internet Explorer isn’t working right. This is partially because the new blog was designed for Firefox and partially because Internet Explorer (especially the older versions) is kinda crappy. We’re working to make things more compatible with IE but the truth is your best bet to view the site is to use Mozilla’s Firefox browser. Honestly, it’s a great browser and worth the switch anyway.
- Mobile comments are now enabled. Sorry — we forgot to flip a switch. You are now able to read and respond to comments on the mobile site. This should be true across all phones/devices.
Those were most of the issues that I’m aware of. I know a couple people were also having issues with Google Chrome. Again, if you’re having trouble with the site please give Firefox a shot while we try and fix compatibility issues. Of course if you are having any trouble using any part of the site that I haven’t addressed, leave a comment or send an email to islanderspointblank@gmail.com.
