@mitchfritz  There was a protest?  Who schedules a protest playing 1 of the few teams worse than NYI? When chances are NYI would win for a change. and not have as pissed of a crowd to help the protest??

@mitchfritz

This is why the protest/walkout is so important.  No one takes the fans seriously.

Just letting others know, I work about 1/2  mile from barclays center. You can drive there. There is free parking in the street you will have to walk 5-10 minutes. It's not that hard to find. From syosset the drives not to bad w/o traffic on a midweek game.

@csh205 @Michael DiGirolamo @Dan Aurigemma as a member of the "fan base" that works in the city and lives on the island, which I am sure there a many others who do the same the commute is drastically improved for any weeknight game, currently there is no chance of making a 7pm game, will it alienate some fans yes, but will also give acess to many fans who in the past could not make games so saying the move makes them a expansion team is just silly

@Michael DiGirolamo @Dan Aurigemma This will be the normal "commute" for the existing fan base.  As NHL Radio noted last week with the pending move 20 miles west, the Islanders are essentially an expansion team once again.

@Michael DiGirolamo Do you turn into a pumpkin at midnight? (and on a saturday night when the next day most people are off on sunday as last year's game was)

As the move gets closer ill post the areas to park. I am bad with street names. Since I work over there I just know where to go and don't pay much attention to the actual streets im on.

Cyclones I wont drive to thats southern brooklyn. Thats a disastrous drive anytime of the day.
