Support the Islanders and a Good Cause on Tuesday Night
Steve, an IPB reader, passed this along about Tuesday night’s game against the Flyers at the Coliseum:
On December 27th, while serving his country as a member of the Air National Guard in Africa, Trooper Eric Carver’s home was burglarized and set on fire. Trooper Carver’s personally owned vehicle was also stolen. Although a suspect has been captured, the damage has been done. On April 9th the New York Islanders will be hosting a fundraiser for Trooper Carver when they play the Philadelphia Flyers. There will be 2 seating choices, $87 seats will be sold for $50 and $41 seats will be sold for $30. For every ticket sold, a $10 donation will be made to Trooper Carver. At some point during the game, Trooper Carver will be honored for his military service and at the conclusion of the game a group picture will be taken on the ice with everyone who purchases tickets through this offer.
