Kevin SchultzTickets for the Islanders and Rangers “Battle in the Bronx” (hmm, should totally trademark that) this January have gone on sale to Devils and Islanders season ticket holders. You can view the prices for the seating chart at the right but unless you’re a season or partial season subscriber, you may have to wait until the tickets start hitting StubHub.
The tickets appear to have gone on sale over the past week on a sliding scale, depending on when the subscriber initially signed up (and for what it’s worth, we’ve heard from some fans that the Ticketmaster website has been malfunctioning). For Islander fans who first signed up for season tickets post-1999, the opportunity to buy tickets started today at 10 a.m. From what we can tell, the first Ranger season ticket holders don’t have access to buy tickets until tomorrow.
Ticket prices vary from $79 to $349.
For those of you with a partial plan or no plan looking for tickets, we’ll you’ll have to cross your fingers that the season subscribers don’t take them all (Isles season subscribers are limited to two or three tickets per seat in their account, depending on where they sit). According to the Isles website, partial subscribers are probably next in line, but there are no guarantees:
Partial subscribers; cross your fingers they don’t sell out. For everyone else part of the general public, rub the lucky rabbits foot.
We’ve reached out to the Islanders for comment about the ticketing situation for the general public.
