Boston Bruins at New York Islanders, 7:30pm ET
Uniondale, NY — Nassau Coliseum — NBCSN
The Boston Bruins visit the Coliseum tonight for a nationally televised game against the Islanders. There won’t be any MSG broadcast tonight, so make sure you find
OLN Versus NBC Sports Network on your preferred cable provider.
For Boston, this is the fifth game of a five game road trip that has been successful thus far. They’re 3-1 on the trip with only five goals allowed in the three wins including a win in Florida on Sunday that featured a Zdeno Chara spin-o-rama goal. They’re 7-1-1 on the road this season, one of the best teams in the league while the Islanders are a league worst 2-7-0 at home. Boston has also only lost twice in regulation this year.
On another note, Rick DiPietro has arrived in Bridgeport. The Sound Tigers have three games in three nights this weekend — Friday, Saturday and Sunday — so we’ll likely see DiPietro in a different kind of blue and orange at some point soon.
There will be some slight changes to the Islanders’ lineup. Keith Aucoin, one point in his last 12 games, will sit and David Ullstrom will get back in after a week off. Evgeni Nabokov is your goaltender tonight.
