Tavares Notches Goal and Assist in All-Star Game

In today’s All-Star scrimmage, John Tavares did Long Island proud with two points in the game. He was on a line with Pittsburgh’s James Neal and Buffalo’s Jason Pominville (to start the game at least), scoring a goal off a rebound in the first period.

Tavares would later earn a primary assist on a Milan Michalek goal in the second. He made a nice change of direction behind the opposing net and fed Michalek who was alone in front.

This will be the final edition of our all Tavares, all the time weekend coverage. Normal coverage resumes tomorrow.
